These games are also quite helpful in making your child a lot easier and end many of the power struggles with your little ones and make them do things quickly and much more efficiently. Based on child psychology, they help you to raise well-behaved and happy kids. They are:

• Beat the Clock: Children who are too easygoing or slow may benefit much from this game. In this game, the child is assigned the task and the timer is set according to the normal time that the child may take to do it, if he does it wholeheartedly, with five more minutes as ‘allowance’. If the child finishes up the task before the timer buzzes, he gets the reward.
• Dumb Queen/King: There are times when you want your children to be quiet for sometime. This game will help your child learn to be silent for sometime, especially when you need some time to de-stress. Give a short time period to the child, where the child has to play dumb queen or king. For example, for 20 minutes they have to be completely and not say a word while playing alone or with a sibling. In the beginning check the child every 2 to 5 minutes and give them small rewards for being silent and playing it well. Later, you may gradually increase the intervals of checking to 30 minutes and time-period to two or three hours. Give rewards every time you check the child for playing well, as a way of encouragement.
• Plus or Minus: Children who are hyperactive or difficult may learn better from this game. Make a chart listing good and bad behaviors. Every time you see doing a good behavior, put a plus sign on the chart but whenever he does a bad behavior, put a minus sign on the chart. It should be done frequently (perhaps every hour). When the number of pluses is more than the number of minuses by child’s age (for example, if the child is three years old, the number of pluses should be three more than the number of minuses), give a reward to the child.
• Reach the Stars: It is a wonderful game to teach the child a new behavior. Make a list of good behaviors and whenever you see doing one of them, such as helping you in chores or cleaning his room, you can put a star on the list. Whenever the child attains stars equal to his age, give him a reward such as a desired toy or trip to the theater.
